After leaving Made in England Mike teamed up with Alan Toms to start Liberty Wolf.

Contemporaries of Safron and Coconut Grove, Liberty Wolf played around the Newquay area including Doublestiles and Trevelgue. They also played a lot at Bodmin Jail gigged throughout Cornwall and Devon.

They Played covers of the likes of Free, Thin Lizzy, etc. as well as five part harmonies such as Eagles and Bellamy Brothers, they band came runners up in a Melody Maker contest in Plymouth. They would travel around in a black and yellow LWB transit van.

Mike left to form Freeway.
