Wadebridge Town Hall

Location:

Wadebridge

Location of teen dances, which included Norman Way's "Psychedelic light show". The Druids from Bodmin were the first band to play a Rock & Roll show at the venue, in the early 60s. The Reaction and Smile would play at the Town Hall.

Chris Dyer of Minehead band The Witness Four recalls playing the venue;

I well remember also doing a gig at Wadebridge Town Hall which turned into a riot. The organizer decided to wind-things up as it was so out of hand but got me to go on stage to announce that the show was over. I had to dodge a lot of flying missiles to get off-stage in one piece and it was more like the Wild West! Happy days......

Thanks to QueeninCornwall for the internal shot
