Tell started out as one of the early singers with The Layabouts before turning to the folk circuit. He held a residency at the Admiral Benbow in Penzance and also ran the Tel Tale Club. He was a popular fixture in the pubs and clubs around the area throughout all his life. Tell passed away in the 1990's.
