St Austell YMCA

Location:

Carlyon Rd, St Austell

YMCA's were popular venues throughout Cornwall in the 60s and 70s. The one St Austell was located in Carlyon Rd, just along from the Tax Office. Bookings were made by Tony Metters who was the YMCA manager at the time. The walls were decked out in paintings of rock and roll stars, such as Jimi Hendrix.
