After playing for many years with entertainment and cabaret acts Cousins Jacks and Cinnamon Tony Langson took a very different turn of direction playing heavy rock and soul with Pistol Dawn.

One memorable gig came when the band were closing the set with Smoke on the Water at the Four Lords in St Blazey. A rather inebriated and enthusiastic Tony fell flat on the gear resulting in a hail of feedback, noise and destruction - much to the amusement of the crowd who wer calling out for more!

While Pistol Dawn were still going Tony was asked by Spike Hooper to join Soul Society. The entire Pistol Dawn would eventually move with Tony and become the backbone of the Soul Society group, with Spike leading and writing the material.

Around the same time Tony would team up with Graham Bath playing as a duo, TFB (Two Fat B*stards). This would last for 12 years. The duo played all over and was very successful, they also had a reputation for being the loudest duos around!
