Popular disco in Falmouth.
Housed in what was originally a prison, later a hotel and in the 60s it became Pedro's nightclub. Like many clubs at the time soul and motown was always popular.
The entrance fee included chicken and chips, as they were serving food this allowed them to have a late license! Like many clubs at the time it was bit a of death trap with only one entrance in and out.
In the 70's it became Shades, a name which remains to this day.
