With thanks to Mike Bray

Short lived band who played the hits of the time including instrumental versions of TV series e.g. Z Cars! Used to rehearse in a pasty factory.

When putting the band together Mike knew Neil a few doors down had a guitar so they got together and eventually Neil got himself a bass guitar.

One day in Martin’s Café Redruth Mike noticed a bloke [Hughie] annoying customers & staff by banging a spoon on his coffee cup in time with the juke box. Mike suggested to Hughie that he really ought to get a drum kit and join the group.
Mike also noticed that a bloke [Roger] in the Tabb’s ballroom one Saturday night looked like Frank Ifield, a chart singer at the time.

Mike thought that he would make a good front man and asked him if he could sing?

“Well I could give it a go,” was the reply so he was promptly renamed Mark Raven!
Mike also heard that a newly stationed police officer in town [George] played guitar so approached him to join. The band was now complete.

The lead guitarist being a policeman and had to fit in with band gigs with his police duties. One day he was found dozing while on duty after too many late night gigs! He was transferred to another part of Cornwall. The singer got engaged and also quit.

The remaining three members went on to form the basis of The Artizans.
