Launceston Town Hall started life as a hospital during the 1st World War, before becoming a town hall, playing host to town politics.
The 1950s saw a rise in music, drama performances and all many of light entertainment at the venue. It was soon the focal point for entertainment in the local area.
In 1964 Colin Gregory staged the first rock dance at the venue, booking the Moquettes. The hall would also play host to artists such as Dave Berry & The Cruisers, as well as Colin’s own band he was managing, the Shade of Blues.
