Alan would replace Rob when he joined the Navy. Later Alan left and Graeme moved from Harmonica to Drums. After Graeme joined the band they continued for a few months as Hard Times before changing their name to Wotts Wott.

On one occasion the band supported a visiting band at the Flamingo in Redruth then were booked to cover a no-show at the Winter Gardens all the way down in Penzance, packing up and driving across country as soon as they finished! They would also play St Mawes Village Hall on many occasions. It usually ended up only being an hours gig, as the venue didn't have a bar and the crowd didn't come back until the pub kicked out!

For a while the band travelled in style. After one gig in St Mawes the driver crashed the van into a wall, writing it off. After using cars for a while they passed a garage on the way to a gig in Helston where they picked up an old Daimler limousine for £25. Although they turned up for gigs looking like proper rock stars it they ended up paying a small fortune in gas.
