One of the early bands in the Cornish music scene. They started off playing mostly instrumentals (shadows, ventures, etc.).

As vocal groups were becoming more popular the instrumentals became less popular, punters wanted songs with singers so the band started to introduce vocal numbers.

Around this time they change their name to The Sundowners. They had around six main singers come through the ranks, often struggling to find a perminant vocalist. They often relied on whoever was around and available at the time.

As they became more popular they started to pick up better equipment and started to secure more gigs.

There was some sibling rivaly between Noel and Louis, with the pair often spitting at each other across the stage. Josh Smith sang with the band for some time and he known on occasion to jump from the stage and crowd surf!
