Years active:

1968

Camborne

Simon Humphreys (Drums)

Trevor and Nigel were previously in Looe based band Onset. After relocated to Camborne to attend Camborne Technical College they formed Constable Zippo’s along with Dick and Simon. They became popular around the local area, playing covers of 60s rock/blues band such as Cream and Hendrix.

The band would travel around in a Bedford van owned by Dick, whose infectious enthusiasm for playing in a band sadly did not match his musical ability. The band played with Smile (pre-Queen) on one of their very early village hall gigs.
