Now known as Hall for Cornwall the venue has played host to many many artists over the years and continues to do so. The venue also held a small Annex where local bands could perform or hire out to put on their own dances.

It was the location of the Rock & Rhythm Contest and famously hosted Queen's first gig under that name.
